Hotel Listings and Prices-Discounts: These are the prices that were quoted for Conference attendees. However, these prices are prices you would get if you were staying only one night. When you are staying for several nights, you should be able to negotiate a much better price than what you see here. Don’t be embarassed to ask for a 30% discount off this price, don’t be embarassed to get them down to a price you can manage. They expect you to do this. Negotiate!

For those of you who will be in Ceremony for a few nights during the Conference, you can also check out of your hotel for that evening and check back in the next day. It is somewhat of a hassle but it will save you some money. The hotel will store your excess baggage. In order to get the negotiated prices that have been arranged for the Conference, please show your Conference ID to the desk clerk.

NOTE ON YOUR VALUABLES: Do not leave your money, passport or credit cards at most hotels. This can be done however, if you are staying at one of the higher end hotels, you can leave your valuables with them but remember to take an inventory of everything you leave there and have someone of authority to sign off on them. You will need the original and they will need a copy. That said, take it with you if you can. If you wish to drop it off for save keeping with us, the office here is Morona 531. For those that choose to participate in Ceremony during the Conference, please realize that you do not want to be burdened with having to concern yourself with your valuables.

Conference ID: The ID badge is essential for entering the Conference, dinner at the Conference, hotel reservations, etc.. Don’t lose it. Replacements are expensive.

Note on Airconditioning and Fans: Yes, some hotel have airconditioning if you like that. The fans used in other hotels are more than efficient.

Remember: It is illegal to charge a tourist taxes on hotel rooms.

HINT: If you came alone you will shortly discover that we are all of pretty similar mind-sets. Hotel rooms are much cheaper if you double or triple up. Look around for some company and save some money.

TRANSPORT TO CONFERENCE: Unless otherwise listed, 2 Soles for a motor-car to Hotel Parthenon, Pampa Chica (Conference location)
