Description
During a 10 Day traditional ayahuasca dieta you will be in a jungle village a few hours from Pacullpa, Peru. You will not be in a plush center, but living as the natives do. It is therefore imperative that you are prepared for this amazing experience.
You will be on a strict dieta of two meals a day which will be based on rice, platano and fish. Occasionally you may have some lentils, quinoa, yukka, regional fruit or beans.
You should not use soap, shampoo, toothpaste or other cosmetics. However you will be provided with leaves to use as a scrub for your body and you may still use your toothbrush. You will be surprised how wonderful your skin and hair will look when you leave!
There are many teacher and healing plants in the Amazon jungle and the curenderas have the knowledge of the properties and preparation of these plants. The plant that you will diet will depend on the curenderas, they will advise and prepare the plant for you after they have looked at you in the first ceremony.
There will be opportunity for jungle walks, fishing, cooking ayahuasca, learning the arts of the shipibo with the villagers, assisting with the preparation of ritual flower baths, learning about the different plants in the area and much more.
The ceremonies while on dieta in the jungle are intense! A large mosquito net, room size, will be provided for ceremonies. You will be taken care of during the ceremonies and during your stay by Cielo and the curenderas (female Shamans). Your safety, both physically and emotionally will be a priority to us.
You will need to prepare for this experience in two ways. One by following the dieta above and by making sure you have what you need to be comfortable. We will provide a thin mattress, pillow, sheets and a blanket for each of you.
